Greetings Women Resting in God’s Grace,
How are you doing? Fabulous I hope! Can I just tell you all that I am so happy that our temps in Colorado are supposed to be in the 80’s all week? Woo Hoo!
This month I have been talking about the process. Why? Because I always say that many want the product but not the process. I want us to be women that know that although the journey maybe hard and painfully difficult at times we must go through in order to get to where the Lord is taking us.
Today I wanted to let you in on a little secret. In the process the real project is YOU! Yes girl! I know you want that business, that marriage to be bliss again, that child to cry out to the Lord, that safe house so you can be a blessing to many, that boss to get his/her act together, and that next level in the company, Some are struggling with decisions that need to be made or are waiting on financial woes to finally disappear. We may be pressing towards a goal but the real project is little ole us.
Just ask Hannah. She wanted that baby so badly. She cried out to the Lord like it was nobody’s business and even Eli thought she was drunk. Her answer to Eli was…
“Oh no, sir!” she replied. “I haven’t been drinking wine or anything stronger. But I am very discouraged, and I was pouring out my heart to the Lord. Don’t think I am a wicked woman! For I have been praying out of great anguish and sorrow.” –1 Samuel 1:15-16 NLT
Ladies, in the process it is okay to cry. It is even okay to cry and others see you and you can tell them that you are NOT crazy. All that we are going through requires truth, and with truth tears flows. Like Hannah we have to keep running back to the Lord so that when we come out we are releasing our will and clinging to the Father’s will. When we come out we have less of us and more of Him. When we come out burdens and sadness will be lifted (Hannah was no longer sad when she finished praying).
One thing I have learned is that we have to stop losing sleep over things we have no control over. Many of us cannot do a thing about our situation because it has to be the Lord. Many will say that it is easier said than done. But I ask this, what are you getting done by worrying about every detail?
Take a page out of Hannah’s book and keep going to the Lord. He will work it out in His timing. Bring it all to the table and trust that the grace of God will see you through today. Tomorrow has its own set of issues and if He wills for you to see it, then there is grace for it as well. Be blessed ladies.
Prayer will be a little early this evening (6pm mst). Reminders will be sent out. Are you in the Denver area? Join us for Brunch & Grace this Saturday! We would love to have you. Come and stop by, be encouraged, and enjoy the company of women just like you who are experiencing God’s power and freedom as we rest in the grace of our almighty God! I hope to see you there!
