I hope that you had a great weekend. I was looking so forward to my Saturday because all that I had to do was cancelled so I made that day my rest day. I needed it really bad because by last Thursday was not my best day. I was not walking in any grace on that day and I needed a breather.
I don’t know about you but sometimes when I don’t get my time in with the Lord I am not the best DeLonda I can be. This past Thursday I got up late so I was rushing to get the kids going and ready for school. That means I did not get my time I usually get in the morning to be with the Father and I went straight into the day; a day that I had plenty to do. After dropping the kids off I went back to my home office and started working. My first stop was to pay bills and when I checked my AT&T bill I almost fell out of my chair because it had tripled. I knew it would be a little higher because we added another line for the kids but not that high. They charged me all the activation fees they could charge. The problem was that when I added the lines I asked them to waive the activation charges and they said they would.
So now I was upset because I had to make a call which for me meant putting something extra on my list of things to do. But it had to be done. Sooooo…when I called customer service I told them what had happened in the nicest manner and asked if they could please take off the activation fees they promised to waive. BUT, instead the agent told me that it was a standard fee. I told the agent that I knew it was standard but I asked that it be waived and the manager approved so I am asking if you would do what you all promised and if not let me speak to a manager. The agent then told me that talking to a manager would do no good because the fee was standard.
Ladies, this conversation went from grace to needing a come to Jesus party. I told them that they were unethical, that the standard should be lifted because I told them to lift it, that they were lying, this was not right for them to treat people like this, their service was terrible anyway, and they would have to answer to the Lord for their mess. Yeap…it happened. I was not happy. My hubby tried to give me some encouragement (we both work from our home office), “DeLonda you were fine when I left and when I came back you were swinging your hands and fussing like crazy. You did good baby. You did all that fussing and not one time did you use profanity like some would have did. Let me help you. I will call myself and give them a little more grace than you did.” I said, “I did give grace in the beginning, it just all got away from me so fast!”
I had to recalibrate and sit with the Father for a few before my day got worse. My devotional for the day was being aware of things that take you out of character. OH BOOYY! Well to late, wish I had of got that message earlier but thank God for His amazing grace that gives us a chance to come back and start again.
Days like this when we are not being the best representation of Christ need to make us more aware of how much we need Christ every, single, day. You don’t have to beat yourself up but take a step back to see where it all went wrong, repent and start again. His grace is sufficient. Don’t go off on the AT&T people LOL! Have a blessed day ladies and join me on the prayer call tonight. I am praying for you and me!
Oh my husband was reading this and wanted me to tell you all he called and got results LOL WOW! Bragging #petty – Enjoy your day ladies and walk in grace!
